1. What can I put in the container for trash collection?

Only bagged household garbage should be placed into the container. Some items not accepted are: - Yard debris - Bulk items - Automotive parts - Tires - Paint - Hazardous waste - Hot ashes.

2. How do I dispose of bulk items?

Bulk items include household items that cannot fit in the container, such as couches, chairs, mattresses, tables, etc. Place these types of items at least 5 feet away from your container and they will be picked up on the regular scheduled bulk pick up day.

3. Can I take the garbage container with me if I move?

No. All containers are the property of the City of Boca Raton. The container should be left at the house for the next resident. All containers have individual serial numbers, which has been assigned to each house.

4. Will there be any changes to my recycling, vegetation, and bulk collection service?

No. There will be no changes made to the collection of these types of items. For more information please view our Sanitation Brochure.

5. Do I have to pay extra for the automated service?

No. Your fees will remain the same. The city will provide each resident with one container.
However, should you require an additional container, there will be an additional $5.28 per month per month charge for the additional container on your water bill.
