Michael DiNorscio began his electrical career as an apprentice and journeyman in New Jersey, later working as the Operations Manager for a large retail corporation before relocating to Florida. Prior to working at the City of Boca Raton beginning in 2010, he owned and operated an electrical contracting business and taught advanced electrical classes at a local technical school. In addition to his current work in the Building Department, he assists with fire investigations and has developed and conducted training classes for the First Responders.
Michael holds State of Florida licenses for Electrical Contractor, Electrical Inspector, Electrical Plans Examiner, Building Inspector and Building Code Administrator; ICC Certifications of Electrical Inspector, Electrical Plans Examiner, Building Inspector, Fire Inspector 1, Fire Inspector 2, and Building Official; Florida State Fire College Certified Fire Inspector 1; and Pro Board Certified as Fire Inspector 1, Fire Inspector 2, and Fire Plans Examiner. Michael was previously the Advisor to the President of the Code Officials Educational Association Board of Directors and was a standing member of the Building Code Advisory Board of Palm Beach County for the 4th District, Boca Raton.
