  1. Eco-Watch Lecture Series: Dr. Kirt Rusenko

    Gumbo Limbo’s lecture series is celebrating 35 years of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center! Learn about the past, present, and future of science and conservation. Attend one or all of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center’s presentations by a guest scientist, author, researcher, or other expert. Recommended for ages 14 & up. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. January 14: Dr. Kirt Rusenko, Marine Conservationist, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center New this year, hosted by the beautiful Boca Raton Spanish River Library. Meet on the second floor mezzanine of the library located at 1501 NW Spanish River Blvd. Cost per person: $5 donation. Reservations can be made online or in advance at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center only; Cash donations cannot be accepted at event.

  1. Out of This Planet: Art Exhibit by Agata Ren

    November 8, 2019 - February 7, 2020 @ Downtown Library

    The Boca Raton Public Library presents a new art exhibit, “Out of This Planet,” by Agata Ren. Visitors to the Art in Public Places area of the Downtown Library will be able to view a variety of bold art pieces featuring endangered animals and flowers. Ren says, “Just like a portrait of a person captures a moment and keeps the image alive, I like to immortalize endangered animals in my artwork.” This free exhibit is open during regular library hours.

    Socrates Cafe gatherings are held around the world, where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences. Persons attending gatherings engage in a common quest for a better understanding of human nature, and in the process strive for a more inclusive world. Socrates Cafe gatherings are free and open to any member of the public who wishes to freely discuss a question which is chosen by vote.
