The Planning Advisory Review consists of representatives from City departments and non-City agencies who meet regularly to discuss proposals for development within the City of Boca Raton.

*This meeting is rescheduled due to Presidents' Day. The Financial Advisory Board conducts ongoing, selective review of the annual budget and capital improvement programs. The Board also reviews and makes recommendations on the rates and fees charged for City services.

The seven-member Historic Preservation Board promotes the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the City through the preservation and protection of sites and districts of historic interest. The Board also strives to preserve and protect the significant architectural phases of the community.

The Community Appearance Board reviews plans of exterior alterations of buildings, other than single-family homes, to ensure conformity with established standards. Signs, billboards and landscaping come under close scrutiny by this Board to ensure the aesthetical quality of the City.

February 21- Birding South Florida Birder and author Brian Rapoza, Tropical Audubon Society, will share his experience and expertise in S FL migratory bird id with a beautiful photo presentation and “tricks of the trade”!

The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to announce a new photo exhibit by Veronique Viardin called “Pride & Honor: Native-American Indian Portraits” at the Downtown Library. Visitors will enjoy a spirited collection of black-and-white portraits depicting modern-day faces of Native-American Indians. These stunning photographs were taken at a pow-wow ceremony where Native-American Indians united to celebrate their heritage with feasting, singing and dancing. French-Puerto Rican photographer Veronique Viardin is inspired by nature and the human condition. Driven by her curiosity, sense of wonder and love of art, she is inspired to create fine-art photography saturated with equal parts beauty and emotion. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
