    *Hearing date changed from January 23, 2019. Special Magistrates conduct hearings related to enforcement of various fire, building, zoning, sign and other codes of the City, in order to protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizenry. Special Magistrates also hear appeals of parking fines.

  3. RESCHEDULED Education Task Force*

    January 24, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Boca Raton Community Center Annex

    *This meeting was rescheduled to January 16, 2019. The Education Task Force reviews the status of City public school facility capacity, construction and renovation and reports their findings and recommendations to the City Council. The Task Force is comprised of seven (7) members who are City residents, at least three (3) of whom have children attending public school, grades K-12, in the City.

  1. Photo Exhibit: "Pride & Honor" by Veronique Viardin

    The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to announce a new photo exhibit by Veronique Viardin called “Pride & Honor: Native-American Indian Portraits” at the Downtown Library. Visitors will enjoy a spirited collection of black-and-white portraits depicting modern-day faces of Native-American Indians. These stunning photographs were taken at a pow-wow ceremony where Native-American Indians united to celebrate their heritage with feasting, singing and dancing. French-Puerto Rican photographer Veronique Viardin is inspired by nature and the human condition. Driven by her curiosity, sense of wonder and love of art, she is inspired to create fine-art photography saturated with equal parts beauty and emotion. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
