  1. Art Exhibit: "Elements of Art & Life" by Galal Ramadan

    The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to present an art exhibit by Galal Ramadan: “Elements of Art & Life.” Visitors to the Downtown Library will view a variety of colored-pencil drawings in a photo-realistic style. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Galal Ramadan emigrated to the United States in 1985 and now resides in Boca Raton. His artwork reveals his fascination with natural and cultural matters, along with his appreciation of basic elements of art and life. These beautiful images reflect the artist’s attention to the minutest details and love of color. “Elements of Art & Life” will run from September 1–November 9, 2018, at the Downtown Library, an Art in Public Places venue, at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.

  2. Video Editing for Kids' Spooky Film Festival

    In support of the Kids' Spooky Film Festival at Sugar Sand Park, the computers in Discover Studio will be available to use our video-editing software. The festival is part of the annual Shriek Week event at Sugar Sand Park Community Center. Qualified films will be shown online in October, and select films will be screened during Shriek Week in late October. All films must be suitable for screening to children ages 5-12.

  4. FAU Love Libraries Day

    The Boca Raton Public Library is celebrating Love Libraries Day with the Florida Atlantic University Owls football team during their September 15 game against Bethune-Cookman. This special day coincides with Youth Day at FAU, and families will enjoy free entertainment outside FAU Stadium prior to kickoff. In celebration of Library Card Sign-up Month, BRPL cardholders will receive a special rate of $5 per ticket for this game! For information and tickets, contact FAU’s Evan at 561-297-0068.
