March 26, 2018, 9:00 AM - April 27, 2018, 9:00 PM @ Downtown Library
The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to exhibit “Abstract Realities,” by married artists Daniel Reed and Eve Teitelbaum Reed. Visitors to the Downtown Library will view a variety of paintings that showcase their unique abstract and colorful styles.
“This show highlights the paintings of a couple who are working artists,” notes Neil Schulhoff, Program Services. “Living and working together, one can see their material start to blend, but also juxtapose. The representational becomes abstract, and the abstract becomes more lifelike.”
“Abstract Realities” will run from March 26–April 27, 2018, at the Downtown Library, an Art in Public Places venue, at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.

The Boca Raton Public Library is hosting an information event for veterans of all ages. Since November 2016, the BRPL’s Military Intel programs have provided veterans and their families with information about benefits, counseling, jobs and more. “The BRPL is happy to bring together these excellent organizations so that our veterans may explore and learn more about the many programs and benefits available to them,” notes Laura Sparrow, Navy (Ret), Supervisor of Account Services. “These short introductions to resources have proved to be beneficial to the veterans and their family members, and the Library will continue its outreach and programming on behalf of the veteran community in Boca Raton.” Presenters from the Pompano Beach Vet Center, PBC Division of Human & Veteran Services, CareerSource of Palm Beach County and Connected Warriors, Inc., will present for 20 minutes followed by Q&A. Enroll in this free program through the calendar at bocalibrary.org.
