  1. Animal Adventure Day Camp Day 1

    November 19, 2018, 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

    Join us during Fall Break to explore topics in science and nature. Register for one, two, or all three days! Sign-up for each day individually. Nov 19 - Day 1 - Shark Science: Find out about the fascinating lives of sharks. We will have a fun day of shark themed games and lessons, and even get up close with our stingrays. Nov 20 - Day 2- Animal Anomalies: Platypuses, pangolins, penguins and more! We’ll learn all about special animals with amazing adaptation combinations. Nov 21 - Day 3- Sensational Sea Turtles: Come discover why Florida is so important to these fascinating marine reptiles, and see them up close in our Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility. Ages: Grades 1st-3rd The camp will be offered for 3rd-5th graders January 2-4.

  1. Photo Exhibit: "Pride & Honor" by Veronique Viardin

    The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to announce a new photo exhibit by Veronique Viardin called “Pride & Honor: Native-American Indian Portraits” at the Downtown Library. Visitors will enjoy a spirited collection of black-and-white portraits depicting modern-day faces of Native-American Indians. These stunning photographs were taken at a pow-wow ceremony where Native-American Indians united to celebrate their heritage with feasting, singing and dancing. French-Puerto Rican photographer Veronique Viardin is inspired by nature and the human condition. Driven by her curiosity, sense of wonder and love of art, she is inspired to create fine-art photography saturated with equal parts beauty and emotion. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.

  2. Monday Morning Muffins & Mysteries: "IQ" by Joe Ide

    In East Long Beach, the LAPD is barely keeping up with the neighborhood's high crime rate. Murders go unsolved, lost children unrecovered.
