Join us during Fall Break to explore topics in science and nature. Register for one, two, or all three days! Sign-up for each day individually. Online registration will close 11/16/17 at 4:00 pm.
Nov 20 - Day 1 - Shark Science: Find out about the fascinating lives of sharks. We will have a fun day of shark themed games and lessons, and even get up close with our stingrays.
Nov 21 - Day 2- Animal Anomalies: Platypuses, pangolins, penguins and more! We’ll learn all about special animals with amazing adaptation combinations.
Nov 22 - Day 3- Sensational Sea Turtles: Come discover why Florida is so important to these fascinating marine reptiles, and see them up close in our Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Facility.
Ages: Grades 1st-3rd
The camp will be offered for 3rd-5th graders December 27-29.

Join us for a FREE guided walk along the Ashley Trail, a quarter-mile natural trail that winds through the Butterfly Garden, Coastal Hammock, and Mangroves, to a sandy beach by the Intracoastal. Observe local flora and fauna as your naturalist guides you on this island exploration. No reservations required. Meet on the front porch of the Nature Center.
Ages: All ages; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to present a new art exhibit, “Marks Over Time,” by Tina Salvesen. Her artwork focuses on fine mark making using charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolor, pastels, paint and encaustic.
Tina Salvesen recently returned to her native Florida after living in the Northeast and Europe for many years. She attended Skidmore College, and received a bachelor’s degree in Art. She also holds an M.Ed. in Art Education from Temple University. Regarded as a master draftsman, she has won many awards in shows throughout the United States. She has exhibited worldwide, including shows in the Newark Museum, the New Jersey State Museum, State Museum of Pennsylvania, and Belgium and Spain.
“Marks Over Time” will run from November 12–December 15, 2017, at the Downtown Library, an Art in Public Places venue, at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
