    Celebrate a day honoring social change and love in action in the Boca Raton community with FREE carnival rides, music, family activities, face painting, and vendors!     Wading in the Intracoastal Waterway just behind Gumbo Limbo, we catch (and release) fish, shrimp, crabs, and more! With hand-held dip nets and large seine nets, get up close and personal with our local marine life. Closed-toe shoes required (old sneakers or water shoes; no sandals). Bring a change of clothes and towel. Ages 10-adult; children under 18 must sign-up and participate with an adult. Reservations required. Programs are subject to cancellation if a minimum sign-up is not reached 48 hours before the start of the program. Program is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

    The Boca Raton Public Library is pleased to announce a new photo exhibit by Veronique Viardin called “Pride & Honor: Native-American Indian Portraits” at the Downtown Library. Visitors will enjoy a spirited collection of black-and-white portraits depicting modern-day faces of Native-American Indians. These stunning photographs were taken at a pow-wow ceremony where Native-American Indians united to celebrate their heritage with feasting, singing and dancing. French-Puerto Rican photographer Veronique Viardin is inspired by nature and the human condition. Driven by her curiosity, sense of wonder and love of art, she is inspired to create fine-art photography saturated with equal parts beauty and emotion. The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
