PARKS | Are parks open?

Yes. On April 28, 2020 Palm Beach County issued an order easing some restrictions for recreation through a phased reopening of parks and other areas to recreate. Beginning May 11, the County began to implement the Phase 1 Safe. Smart. Step by Step Plan for Florida’s Recovery, as directed by the State. In Phase 1, City of Boca Raton parks, beaches and facilities continue to open with some limitations and restrictions.

City of Boca Raton beach-front parks and parking lots opened to the public Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 8am – sunset for permit holders and patrons paying the daily rates.

On Friday, August 28, 2020, City of Boca Raton playgrounds, splash pads, and exercise equipment will reopen to the public as permitted by Palm Beach County Order 20-21.

Visitors should wear facial coverings when social distancing can not be maintained and are encouraged to practice safety and hygiene as recommended by the CDC and Florida Department of Health. Playgrounds and park facilities will be for "use at your own risk."

Visitors should be prepared with hand sanitizer and other necessary cleaning wipes to ensure little hands are cleaned before and after play.

To view the current list of openings, please visit the Phased Park Openings newsflash. *Other parks not listed on the table remain closed.

While visiting city parks, residents and visitors should continue to adhere to CDC guidelines including social distancing and use of face coverings when social distancing can not be maintained.
