Lieutenant Todd Wootton began his law enforcement career with the City of Fort Myers Police Department (Florida) before moving to the Palm Beach County area. Lieutenant Wootton has served the City of Boca Raton since August of 2000. He has been assigned as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, and as an investigator assigned to the Palm Beach County Auto Theft Task Force and the Vice Intelligence Narcotics Unit. Lieutenant Wootton was promoted to Sergeant in 2005 and was assigned to patrol. Shortly thereafter, he was assigned to supervise the Field Training Program and Crisis Negotiation Team. He was reassigned in 2008 to the Vice Intelligence Narcotics Unit and remained in that capacity until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2013. Lieutenant Wootton has been assigned as a Watch Commander on both Alpha and Bravo shifts since that time.
Lieutenant Wootton has an Associate of Science Degree in Aviation Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.
