Mayor Scott Singer recognized our Economic Development Division at the May 7 City Council workshop proclaiming May 7 through May 12, 2018 as Economic Development Week.
Economic development is a key factor in the sustainability of the City of Boca Raton, contributing to the creation, retention and expansion of jobs that facilitate growth, promote economic well-being, enhance the quality of life and provide a stable tax base. Along with our community and agency partners, including the State of Florida, Palm Beach County, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, SCORE and the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the success of economic development within our City has created new opportunities for companies and entrepreneurs as well as our residents, in order to secure Boca Raton's economic future.
The Office of Economic Development has assisted in the creation or retention of 9,659 high paying jobs in the City since 2010. Boca Raton is also home to thirty corporate headquarters.
Jessica Del Vecchio, Economic Development Manager and Kelly Kennedy, Economic Development Coordinator accepted the proclamation.
