[ARCHIVED] March for Our Lives in Boca Raton Brought Thousands Together

Crowds marching to protest gun violence

On March 24, thousands of people took to the streets for a local March for Our Lives event.  Hosted by WeUnite.us, the event began on the City Hall campus and ended at Mizner Park Amphitheater where a giant screen televised the live broadcast taking place in Washington D.C.

A shrine commemorating the victims of the shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL was built on stage, looking over those who stood together for this cause.  Mayor Haynie, council members and other guests, including several high school students, spoke to the crowds, offering support to the community.
