Female Noir Authors: A Discussion

Female Noir (noun): a style of literature written for women which has a crime or other serious and compelling theme. In this program we will discuss Female Noir writers from young to old, from middlebrow to hyper-stylized. Craft is what unites them all. Some of the authors we will feature include: Megan Abbott, Sara Gran, Patricia Highsmith, Natsuo Kirino, Dorothy B. Hughes, Jess Kidd, Jane Casey, Catherine Ryan Howard and Jassy Mackenzie.
