Rising Rooks: Intermediate Instructional Chess for Families
Wednesday, June 16, 2021
Already know the basics and are now ready to learn more about how to play chess? Families are invited to sign up for a 6-week virtual class session with professional chess instructor and international competitor, Bob Holliman. Learn about centralizing chess pieces, opposition, pins, double attack, queen vs. pawn endings, and much more. Each virtual instructional class is 45 minutes long. After you register for the class, you will receive an email invite to join the Boca Raton Public Library (BRPL) Chess Club so you can practice your intermediate chess moves with others during an optional post-class virtual, 30-minute, open-play period. To participate in the open-play period, create a free account at https://www.chess.com/register. A parent’s permission is required to create a new chess.com account.
