Arts Spark Kids Fest is an interactive festival of the arts for kids!
At Sugar Sand Park Community Center’s 6th annual Arts Spark Kids Fest, proudly sponsored by Modern Boca Mom, kids will experience a sampling from many artistic outlets in and around our community. This action-packed interactive festival is Sunday, February 10 from 11am-4pm and celebrates the cultural, creative and performing arts. Admission is $10 for kids 12 and under, and adults are free with paid child(ren), purchased day of event only. Admission price includes all activities except food and select added services. A complete schedule will be available online to help guests plan their day.
Outdoor activity booths will be open all day unless noted, some of which include:
• School of Rock Boca Raton (musical petting zoo)
• My Florida Therapy (craft and sensory play)
• Uptown Art (painting mural and express classes)
• Joy Deco (tumbling equipment)
• The Learning Experience (mask making)
• Mz Mirtha Merritown (puppet making)
• Dawson Digital Art School (computer animation and clay sculpture)
• Park’s Tae Kwon Do (board breaking)
• Modern Boca Mom (giant Legos)
• South Florida Center for Percussive Arts (drumming circle)
Other festival attractions include a karaoke stage on the food court, juggle circle, coloring book playhouses (with a chance to win one at the festival), body art, spin art, one balloon art creation, and strolling performers like the Human Slinky and Cirque-style act.
Stage shows include musical and dance numbers, including Bows and Ties, a Miami-based folk duo with original music, who also specialize in children’s classes; Showtime Performing Arts Theatre performing music and choreography from “Matilda”; Conundrum Stages with a selection of talented singer/songwriters; DJ with games, and more.
Additional classes will take place inside the Community Center at exact times throughout the day, and will be tailored toward specific age groups, ranging from toddler to elementary school age. Space will be limited. Classes may include a variety of dance styles, music enrichment, edible science, drawing, raw baking, meditation, and creative movement for kids on the autism spectrum.
The entrance wristband includes admission to all entertainment, exhibitor booths, make & takes, and indoor workshops. Additional fees apply to face painting, sand art, airbrush tattoos, and vegan cookie/cupcake decorating. Food trucks include Dough Dough Donuts, Best French Fries, PS561, Outside the Box, Nuts About Sugar, and Kona Ice.
