South PBC - March For Our Lives
Saturday, March 24, 2018
On March 24, WeUnite.US Inc, a Florida nonprofit organization, will host a local march in conjunction with more than 500 marches taking place around the globe that day. Members of the Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach communities will unite and take to the streets to stand up against gun violence. Participants will convene at Boca Raton City Hall and march to Mizner Park Amphitheater for an event with speakers, performances, and food vendors until 2:00 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to carpool. Free parking will be available at: Boca Raton City Hall, Boca Raton Community Center, the Downtown Library, Boca Raton Building Administration, and Mizner Park Amphitheater.
WeUnite.US Inc is a Florida nonprofit organization established by former Florida senator Maria Sachs and Barbara Finizio, a Boca Raton resident, mother, and community activist. The two have joined forces to advocate for sensible restrictions to fire arms, raising the age requirement to acquire guns, and encouraging law enforcement officials to be more responsive to tips. Their goal is to hold Florida legislators accountable for creating a safe environment for all.
