Military Intel: Veterans' Information Event

This free program provides veterans and their families with information on benefits, counseling and job search assistance. Q&A follows presentations.

Speakers include:

Andrew Reese, Veteran Service Officer, Army (Ret), Representing Palm Beach County Community Services Department Division of Human & Veteran Services
Human & Veteran Services assists and counsels former and current members of the Armed Forces who reside in Palm Beach County. Services include assistance in preparing and filing claims for benefits for which they are entitled under federal, state and local laws. Dependents and survivors of former members of the Armed Forces may be eligible for the services of this program. 20-minute presentation followed by Q&A for 20 minutes.

Claire Eberhart, Veterans Outreach Specialist, Representing the Pompano Beach Vet Center
Vet Centers guide veterans and their families through many of the major adjustments in lifestyle that often occur after a veteran returns from combat. Services may include individual and group counseling in areas such as PTSD, alcohol and drug assessment, and suicide prevention referrals. All services are free of cost and strictly confidential. 20-minute presentation follow by Q&A for 20 minutes.

Representatives from CareerSource of Palm Beach County
CareerSource provides priority service for US military veterans with a variety of services including job search and resume workshops; career counseling; on-site recruitment; use of computers, copiers, and fax; labor market information; and programs for persons with disabilities. 20-minute presentation followed by Q&A for 20 minutes.
