City of Boca Raton residents who wish to APPLY for or RENEW a free Library Card (termed a library borrower's permit in the City Code of Ordinances) must provide photo identification (valid driver's license, a current state identification card or a current passport) and ONE of the following items showing their name and their City of Boca Raton address as proof of residency in physical or digital form:
Property Appraiser Website (for owner)
Mortgage Statement (current)
Copy of Deed to Property
Signed Copy of Lease
Recorded Declaration of Domicile
Letter from Director of Campus Housing
Cable Bill (within last 2 months)
Power Bill (within last 2 months)
Water Bill (within last 2 months)
Property Tax Bill or Receipt (current)
Children/dependents must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, who must show their photo ID and proof of residency on behalf of the child/dependent.

If you reside outside the City of Boca Raton, you may purchase an individual card for a non-refundable $152 annual fee, or a family card (immediate family only) for a non-refundable $253 annual fee.
