Water Treatment Process

How Do We Do It?

Raw water is pumped to the plant from 1 of 52 wells throughout the City where 2/3 of the water is treated using the membrane softening process and 1/3 of the water is treated using lime softening process. The treated water is then blended to provide the finished product.  Treating a large percentage of the water using the membrane softening process and removing more than 90% of the organic material from the raw water results in clear, colorless water that surpasses regulatory requirements.
