   Whether your favorite is a festive classic or a modern tale, we want to see your take on a silver screen holiday movie.

    Walking groups are limited to performing entities: musical groups, drill teams, dance teams, or unique units approved by Boca Raton Community Events. General walking groups will not be accepted.

    It is optional to pause for a ONE - MINUTE performance or demonstration in front of the judges.  This will have no impact on the award.

37. JUDGING CRITERIA FOR VEHICLES/FLOATS

    Parade entries will be judged on the following:

    • Creativity
    • Relation to parade theme
    • Lighting
    • Construction and originality

    Participants must complete the entire parade route in order to qualify for awards. The top three entries in each category will be recognized on the City of Boca Raton’s website and social media pages. Winners will also appear in the newspaper.

    Mandatory Parade Participant Meeting*

    Thursday November 16, at 6:00PM

    All drivers and at least one representative from your group MUST attend this safety/informational meeting.

43. CHECK EACH BOX TO INDICATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING & AGREEMENT IN FOLLOWING THESE RULES & REGULATIONS *

    1. NO distribution of any materials along the parade route, including flyers, candy, toys, coins, or marketing materials of any kind.
    2. NO parade participants may have a live Santa Claus character.
    3. NO stationary demonstrations, routines, or performances along the parade route. (Only a ONE MINUTE presentation at the judging area).
    4. NO live animals unless prior approval is given from parade organizers.
    5. NO sirens, bullhorns, fireworks, bubbles, silly string, balloons, or poppers.
    6. NO profane or political entries or commentary will be permitted.
    7. All participating vehicles & floats MUST enter the line-up from the intersection of Camino Real & Federal Hwy.
    8. Participant drop-off will ONLY be at designated locations given to your representative attending the pre-parade meeting.
    9. Lineup for staging will take place between 5:45pm and 6:45pm - if you arrive after this time, you may be disqualified and removed from the parade entry list.
    10. Everyone in your group is expected to complete the full parade route, which extends about one mile along Federal Highway, north to NE Mizner Blvd.
    11. We understand and agree that the City of Boca Raton has the right to remove any entry from the parade for any inappropriate display or behavior by any participant and agree to abide by the rules.
45. RELEASE AND INDEMNITY

    The undersigned, in consideration of the City of Boca Raton and the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District providing us with space for the display, promotion and/or sale of our various services, products, goods and other valuable wares during their event, do hereby release the City of Boca Raton and the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District and any of their members, employees, directors or volunteers from any liability for the loss or damage of product, personal injury or property damage. Further, I acknowledge full responsibility for all my activities at the event and for those assisting me and I agree to defend, hold harmless and indemnify the City of Boca Raton and the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District for any damages, attorney’s fees, or costs of any legal action resulting from any claims in which they, their members, employees, agents or volunteers are made parties defendant. This Release and Indemnity Agreement applies for the duration of the event as scheduled and to any claims made within the applicable Statute of Limitations for a loss occurring during that time period.

47. WAIVER

    As the appointed representative of the above named entity, I fully understand and agree that my participation in the Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade is voluntary and at my own risk. I hereby certify that there exists full liability and property damage and personal injury insurance on the float or vehicle or being entered in the parade. I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless all cities and municipalities along the parade route including the City of Boca Raton and Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District; for any personal injury or property damage which I, my float/vehicle or passengers may cause in any way or which may be occasioned to me, my passengers or to my float/vehicle as a result of my parade participation. We understand and agree that the City of Boca Raton has the right to remove any entry from the parade for any inappropriate display or behavior by any participant and, upon signing, agree to abide by all rules and conditions of participation. Also, I hereby grant full consent to the co-producers for the free use of my picture or name in any broadcast, telecast or other account of the events of the parade.
