Boca Raton Golf and Racquet Club

City of Boca Raton Golf and Racquet ClubOctober 2021

In October 2020, owners of the Boca Raton Resort and Club (now known as The Boca Raton), donated the Boca Country Club facility, along with an 18-hole golf course, tennis center, and other amenities, to the City of Boca Raton. For the past year, the club has continued under the management of the Resort, but beginning October 1, 2021, the City of Boca Raton will assume operations, management, and ownership of the club located at 17751 Boca Club Blvd.

Renamed the Boca Raton Golf and Racquet Club (BRGRC), the City plans to invest over $7 million dollars to upgrade the facilities and provide a premier country club facility. The renovated BRGRC will have meeting and banquet space, a restaurant, an 18-hole public golf course, and a racquet center with tennis and pickleball courts -- all available to the residents of Boca Raton and the homeowners of the Boca Golf and Tennis Community.

All facilities and amenities will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED beginning October 1 while the City evaluates and plans for necessary repairs and renovations.

Golf operations at the BRGRC are expected to open at the beginning of November. The City's Municipal Golf Course will close October 17 for the transition.

August 2021

The City continues to make necessary preparations to begin the transition of the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club. The City is excited to continue to deliver world-class recreation through this new facility beginning in November 2021.

On October 14, 2020, Boca Raton City Council members voted unanimously to accept the donation of the Boca Country Club from MSD Partners and Northview Hotel group, owners of the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The donation included a 167-acre complex with an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis and aquatics facilities, and a clubhouse with event space.

The City has been working with the community to develop plans for the complex, create a budget for the management and operations, and develop the user fee schedules before taking ownership starting October 1, 2021. The intention is to offer continuous golf for residents coordinated with the closing of the City's municipal course, which is currently under contract for sale.
