**While the lobby remains closed due to the pandemic, all crash reports must be obtained online. On the homepage, click on the "Records Request" tab and fill out the form. The Records department will contact you to complete the process.
Vehicle crash reports are available from the police department records section located at;
100 N.W. Boca Raton Blvd, Boca Raton, FL.
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
In accordance with Florida State Statute section 316.066, crash reports are confidential for a period of 60 days after the date the report is filed. However, crash reports may be made immediately available to the parties involved in the crash, their legal representatives and their licensed insurers.
In order to obtain a copy of a crash report within 60 days after the date the report is filed, a person must present a valid driver license or other photographic identification, proof of status, or identification that demonstrates his or her qualifications to access that information and file a written sworn statement with the department stating the report will not be used for any commercial solicitation of accident victims, nor will it knowingly be disclosed to any third party for the purpose of such solicitation, during the period of time that the information remains confidential and exempt. Such written sworn statement must be completed and sworn to by the requesting party for each individual crash report that is being requested.
