Full Closure - NW 2nd Street at Railroad Crossing

Due to an unforeseen repair at Palmetto Park Road, NW 2nd Street will remain closed until further notice. We will update the public with any additional information and openings once confirmed. 

This will also include a lane closure on Dixie Hwy to mitigate traffic.

Project Notes:

  • The primary working hours for this crossing will be from Monday to Sunday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 
  • Pedestrian detours will be coordinated with by the MOT employees on site
  • Control Devices may need to be adjusted to fit field conditions 
  • The scheduled work can be affected by weather

Construction

Flynn Engineering will be on NW 4th Street. Big D Paving contractor will commence this project on 4/21/22 and Estimated End Date 1/6/23.

  • Proposed Start Date: 4/21/22 and Estimated End Date 1/6/23. 
  • Scope of Work:  Brightline Parking Lot Construction.

Schedule:

  • Phase 2:  4/21/2022 – 9/1/2022 Construction of the stations
  • Phase 3:  9/2/2022 – 11/16/2022 Construction of the new entrance and watermain 
  • Phase 4:  11/17/2022 – 1/06/2023 Entry Road Final Completion

  • Daytime operation 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Pedestrian detours will be coordinated with by the MOT employees on site
  • The sidewalks will be closed according to the MOT plans. 
  • Control Devices may need to be adjusted to fit field conditions
