Full (All-Lane) Road and Trail Closures


Patch Reef Trail, from Yamato Road to Potomac Road


CLOSED: Monday, May 15, 2017 for approximately 60 days (around June 14, 2017)
Utility Services is currently in-progress with a large electrical and generator improvement project. A portion of the work is taking place at the Yamato Road Generator Building and at nearby wells. The scope is to install new electrical lines and electrical boxes via horizontal directional drilling. Work is located in the sidewalk and bike paths south of Yamato Road.

E Royal Palm Road, between SE 3rd Ave and SE 4th Ave


CLOSED: Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
A segment of roadway in front of the construction project “327 E. Royal Palm” will be closed on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 9AM to 4PM. The contractor has provided a detour route that uses either SE 3rd Avenue or SE 4th Avenue as the bypass alternative.

Camino Real, at the CSX Railroad Crossing (West of I-95)


CLOSED: Friday, July 21, 2017, through Monday, July 24, 2017
Railroad crossing improvements are scheduled to occur for the railroad crossing on Camino Real west of Interstate 95. The railroad crossing will be closed for a period of approximately 55 hours.

SW 18th Street, at the CSX Railroad Crossing (West of I-95)


CLOSED: Friday, July 28, 2017, through Monday, July 31, 2017
Railroad crossing improvements are scheduled to occur for the railroad crossing on Camino Real west of Interstate 95. The railroad crossing will be closed for a period of approximately 55 hours.

Camino Real Bridge, at the Intracoastal Waterway


CLOSED: August 2017, for approximately 12 months (around August 2018)
The Camino Real Bridge crossing the Intracoastal Waterway will be closed for approximately 12 months for a complete renovation of the existing bridge. For more information on this upcoming project, contact Barry Meave with Palm Beach County Roads & Bridges, at 561-233-3976.

Partial Road (Lane) Closures


Southbound Dixie Highway, from E. Royal Palm Road to SE 6th Street


RIGHT LANE CLOSED: Tuesday, May 30, 2017, for approximately 3-4 weeks (around the end of June).
The City’s Utility Department is scheduled to work on Lift Station No. 226 and force main. As a result the Utilities Department will be closing the outside southbound travel lane on Dixie Highway from approximately E. Royal Palm Road (South of Palmetto Park Road) to SE 6th Street beginning Tuesday, May 30, 2017. This segment of Dixie Hwy will be closed for about two (2) weeks +/-. PBC has approved the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) assigned to this work zone.

Intersection of Northbound Dixie Highway and Eastbound Palmetto Park Road


LEFT TURN LANES CLOSED: Monday, June 5, 2017, during the evenings, until Wednesday, June 7, 2017 or earlier
The remaining All Aboard Florida/Brightline intersection work at Dixie Highway and Palmetto Park Road will recommence on Monday, June 5, 2017. The work will be scheduled during the evenings to minimize traffic impacts. During this time, the left turn lanes on northbound Dixie Highway and southbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed.  A detour is provided at NW 2nd Street.  The scope of work is scheduled to be completed on or before June 7, 2017.
