Computer Use

Public computer Internet access is available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Library cardholders who have a Boca Raton Public Library card in good standing may enter their barcode number and PIN to receive two (2) hours of Internet access.
  • Additional time will be granted to Library cardholders in two (2) hour increments based on availability of computers with Internet access. The cardholder's Boca Raton Public Library card or a picture ID must be presented when requesting additional time.
  • Non-library cardholders, and those whose library cards are not in a "good standing" status, may, upon presenting a picture ID, purchase up to two (2) hours of computer time for a fee of $5.00. Additional time may be purchased in two (2) hour increments based on availability of computers with Internet access.
  • A courtesy fifteen (15) minute "express" computer session may be granted once per day with photo identification.
  • No food or beverages are permitted in the public computer areas.

Free wireless Internet access is available (view the Wireless Internet Use Guidelines). Any use of Library-provided Internet access (wired or wireless) must be in accordance with the Library's Internet Use Policy. Patrons are expected to use these services in a legal, responsible, and considerate manner, consistent with the educational and informational purposes for which it is provided.
