The City of Boca Raton offers a variety of activities and special events throughout the year to enhance the quality of life for its residents, neighbors and the thousands of guests who visit our great city. Coordinated by the City's Recreation Services Department, additional support comes from many community groups, businesses, and volunteers.

Admission to all city-sponsored events is free. For additional information, just click on the event listing of your choice, or contact us with questions and concerns.

Local produce, fresh juices, fresh pasta / guacamole / salsa / hummus / cheeses / oils & vinegars, plants, prepared foods, doggie treats, cheeses, bakery products, fresh cut flowers, orchids, fresh fish & seafood, food and health information, breakfast & lunch specialties, live music and much more....   Sponsored by Florida Health & Chiropractic Medicine, Aurora Nurses, Royal Palm Place Merchants Association, Sun-Sentinel, COSTCO.

Saturday, March 13                           5th Annual SEA TURTLE DAY

It's a kick-off of the 2010 sea turtle nesting season with exhibits, demonstrations, craft for the kids, education talks, food and more...for all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, March 20                           BOATING / BEACH BASH EXTRAVAGANZA

Annual boating and beach event for people with disabilities, their families and caregivers; several support groups, including Shake-A-Leg Miami, provide boat rides and other fun experiences.  Free food and drink, along with on-going live music.  It's a fun time organized by the City of Boca Raton's Advisory Board for People with Disabilities. Beach wheelchairs available.

Saturday, March 20                          EL RIO SHARED-USE TRAIL GRAND OPENING

Ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the recently-completed one-mile long section of El-Rio Shared-Use Trail.  This 3rd phase of the City's "linear park," located between Yamato Road north to the L-40 Canal, is exclusively for the use of cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians.  Following the ribbon-cutting, refreshments will be served and trail rides will be available.
