Registration is now open for all 2012 swim lessons. Patrons may register in person or over the phone at either facility. If you are unsure of what level of swim lessons your child should be in, call the pool office and set up a water assessment evaluation. Proof of residency (current Driver’s License or Voter’s Registration Card) is required to receive the resident rate. Classes are not made up due to thunder or lightning.   Move your cursor over each level for more information.

LIFEGUARDING / FIRST-AID:
This course will prepare the participant to recognize and cope effectively with the challenges that face lifeguards today.  First Aid, CPR, textbooks and pocket mask are included in.  Candidates must pass the preliminary swim test of 300 yards. Call the pool office to register.

AMERICAN RED CROSS CHALLENGES:

SPRING EGG DIVE: Free Event!
Friday, March 29, 2012 at 10:30 am
For children ages 5-13 years old
Children search for pennies on the bottom of the pool and turn them in for plastic eggs filled with toys.  If they find a specially-marked penny, they receive a special prize.  All children receive an egg for participating. Free pizza and a drink! Raffles held throughout the event.

MONSTER MASH: Free Event!
Saturday, October 27th, 2012 from 11:00am - 1:00pm
For ages 6 and up
Come in costume, bring a swim suit, or both. Activities will be held both in and out of the water. Trick-or-treating, bounce house, face painting, popcorn, and more.

SWIM LESSONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Adaptive Aquatics is a one-on-one swim program for children and adults with special needs. This program is designed to help teach participants how to become more comfortable in the water while learning essential swimming techniques in a fun environment.  Each session consists of eight 30-minutes lessons, to be scheduled once per week for eight weeks.  This program is available at both pools.

• Cost per session:  $65.00 for Residents
                                     $81.25 for Non-Residents

Deep water classes provide an opportunity to receive a cardiovascular workout without impact on the joints.  When suspended up to the chest in water, 75% - 90% of the body weight is cancelled.  Water buoyancy supports your weight and moving through the water provides resistance, which in turn strengthens the muscles.  This program is held at Meadows Park Pool.

• Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (class will be held at the Swim Center on the first Monday of each month)
• Time:  10:00 am - 11:00 am
• Cost (per month): Residents $65.00
                                    Non-Residents $81.25

For those who dare to watch their own swimming technique, staff will film, edit, and format patrons’ swimming onto a DVD.  In addition to the DVD, stroke analysis will be provided by a qualified staff member.  This program is available at both pools.

                                      $37.50 for Non-residents
• Additional Videos:   $20 for Residents
                                      $25 for Non-residents

Enjoy the physical and social benefits of friendly competition.  Various levels of workouts provided at every practice.  Program is for ages 19 and older. This program is held at Meadows Park Pool.

For children ages 5 to 17 who are able to swim 25 yards of crawl stroke and are comfortable in the water. This program is held at Meadows Park Pool.

AGE GROUP FITNESS SWIM TEAM (August thru April)
For children ages 7 to 14 who are able to swim 25 yards of crawl stroke and are comfortable in the water. This program is held at Meadows Park Pool.
